At the end of 2000, the Eguizábal Family decided to write a new chapter in the Ribera del Duero region. Valparaíso was born as a very personal and carefully crafted project; a bold foray into the heart of the DO to create wines that speak of their origin, Quintana del Pidio. With a limited production of 250,000 bottles, our winery is where the personality of the land meets the sophistication of artisanal winemaking.

The soul of Valparaíso lies in the diversity of our winemaking heritage. We have over 70 hectares of our own vineyards, the setting where Tempranillo reaches its fullest expression under an extreme climate and with total respect for the landscape.

We don’t seek quantity, but rather the complexity that arises from altitude and contrast. We divide our vineyard into three strategic zones of the Ribera del Duero that contribute distinctive nuances to each wine:

In this privileged setting, at an altitude of 850 meters, we safeguard historic plots with vines over 80 years old. These are vineyards with very limited production that concentrate the purest essence of the Ribera del Duero, giving our wines that intensity and structure that makes them unforgettable.

18 hectares that are the secret to elegance. From here comes the fruit that provides silkiness and persistence, allowing us to balance the strength of the Duero with exceptional finess.
PESQUERA DE DUERO
42 HECTARES
In this mythical enclave, our 42 hectares, situated at an altitude of over 800 meters, take advantage of the extreme temperature fluctuations between day and night. This struggle against the climate fosters perfect ripening, key to obtaining the substance and color that give our wines their structure and unique personality.
